Sussex Sharks fast bowler Tymal Mills is likely to miss the remainder of this year’s Vitality Blast with a back injury.
The left-armer has been experiencing discomfort while playing in the tournament. Investigations have revealed the cause of this to be a lumbar spinal injury that will require an extended period of rest.
This injury is separate to the thoracic spine condition that prompted Tymal to focus on T20 cricket earlier in his career.
In his seven appearances in this year’s Blast, Tymal has taken seven wickets and conceded an average of just 6.52 runs per over.
