Joey Evison joins Sussex on loan

Sussex Cricket are pleased to announce that Joey Evison has joined the Club on loan from Kent for the remainder of the County Championship campaign, ahead of a permanent move on 1st October. 

Having trained with the rest of the squad yesterday ahead of the forthcoming fixture with Somerset at Hove starting on Thursday, it can today be announced that Evison will be available for selection for the final five Rothesay County Championship fixtures.

The 24-year-old joined Leicestershire on a short-term loan deal earlier in the season, and it was there where he played his last First Class match, also in Division One, against Yorkshire. He took a wicket and scored 55 off the bat in a comprehensive victory for the Midlands-based county. 

Evison has featured in 57 First Class matches in his career, scoring over 2,500 runs and claiming 92 wickets.
