Are you committed to helping shape the future of one of England's most historic and community-driven cricket clubs?

As the oldest first-class county cricket club in England, Sussex Cricket is steeped in tradition but firmly focused on innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity.

Due to planned Board rotation, Sussex are now looking two committed and values-led Appointed (Independent Non-Executive) Board Members.

Combining elite performance with deep community impact across Sussex this is a rare opportunity to take the helm of a unique organisation that delivers first-class professional cricket, nurtures emerging talent, and drives meaningful change in communities through the Sussex Cricket Foundation.

You will contribute to the Board's oversight and strategic direction across all areas of Sussex Cricket ensuring long-term sustainability, relevance, and impact both on and off the field.

Working closely with the Chair and other Board members, you will contribute to delivering the club's strategic plan while championing cricket as a sport for across Sussex.

Applicants for the two board Member vacancies will be able to prove their previous experience, and skills in at least one of areas of commercial, income generation or estates management as well as experience of wider organisational governance.

As part of this we are looking for applicants with direct, tangible experience in one of these two areas coupled with a strong understanding of governance and regulatory frameworks, and a demonstrated commitment to equality, diversity, and sustainability.

The professional cricket landscape and its challenges are more complex than ever before resulting in ongoing financial pressures on clubs.

With this in mind, we are looking for two new Appointed (Independent Non-Executive) Board Members who can apply previous experience in an organisation that is at a pivotal time in its history. We are particularly looking to ensure that we retain a diverse Board composition and so applications from women with the required skills and experience are, therefore, particularly welcome.

Community Cricket Coach - Part Time - 20hrs/week

An exciting new opportunity has arisen in the Sussex Cricket Foundation (SCF). We are looking for Community Cricket Coaches in Sussex to continue our mission of actively changing lives through the power of cricket.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering cricket-based sessions in a variety of locations across Sussex to schools, clubs and communities under the guidance of a Territory Manager.

Sussex Cricket is committed to safeguarding by protecting children, young people and vulnerable adults. As such, all relevant posts are subject to a vetting process, which requires up-to-date DBS checks and the provision of two work-related references.
