Ahead of the Big Bash starting on Tuesday, we take a look at what lies ahead during the first week of the competition for the four Sharks taking part...
With Jason Gillespie at the helm, Adelaide Strikers have three Sharks in their squad for the ninth edition of the tournament, and our overseas signing for the 2020 season, Travis Head, is set to captain the side.
Since making his Big Bash debut in 2013, Head has become one of the most destructive and talented T20 batsmen on the planet, and is the highest run-scorer in Strikers history.
He will be joined in the Strikers side by Rashid Khan, who has played for Gillespie's side in the last two editions of the Big Bash, and Phil Salt, who is preparing for his tournament debut.
The Strikers have to wait until Saturday to get their campaign underway against Sydney Thunder at the Manuka Oval, before their first home match takes place two days later against Perth Scorchers.
In that fixture, another recognisable face will be on show, with Chris Jordan playing for the Scorchers in this winter's competition.
CJ, who has previously played for the Strikers, as well as Sydney Thunder, will have already played two matches by the time he visits the Adelaide Oval.
The Scorchers get their Big Bash underway with a trip to the SCG to take on Sydney Sixers, before welcoming Melbourne Renegades to the Optus Stadium on Saturday.
