In Islamabad United’s next match against Peshawar Zalmi, Phil Salt hit 28 off 18 balls as the side were bowled out from the last ball of their innings for 176. That was enough to take the game to the final ball, but it was Peshawar who triumphed, reaching their target with six wickets down.
Laurie Evans was the other Sussex player in PSL action last week. He was part of the Multan Sultans side that beat Islamabad United by six wickets on Tuesday. Having bowled their opposition out for 121, the Sultans made it home with eleven balls remaining. Batting at number five, Laurie was bowled for one.
Georgia Elwiss, Sarah Taylor and Danni Wyatt were part of the England Women side that beat India in the third and final one-day international in Mumbai on Thursday. Georgia and Danni made crucial contributions as the tourists snuck home by two wickets. A full write-up is available here.

56 for Wyatt at number seven and an unbeaten 33 for Elwiss at number eight steered the tourists towards victory 🙌
England then moved onto the IT20 leg of their tour, with Sarah returning home as planned and Georgia sadly ruled out with a stress-fracture of the back. Two Sussex players in Freya Davies and Linsey Smith joined up with the squad, however.
Danni and Linsey were the Sussex representatives in the first match in Guwahati early this morning. England were put into bat, with Danni making 35 at the top of the order and putting on 89 for the first wicket with Kent batter Tammy Beaumont who top-scored with 62. England posted 160-4 from their 20 overs before restricting India to 119-6. Linsey was very impressive, taking 2-22 from her four overs as England took a 1-0 lead in the series.
