On Wednesday Sussex D40 player Alfie Pyle lifted the Disability Premier League trophy with the England Hawks, after they beat the England Pirates in the final, live on Sky Sports Cricket.
The T20 competition culminated in the final at the Incora County Ground in Derbyshire, with the Hawks winning by 8 wickets to lift the title.
The Disability Premier League is made up of four teams - Black Cats, Pirates, Tridents and Hawks - with players selected in a draft from the 51 teams who compete across the country in various county championship competitions, such as the D40 Quest League.
The victory tops off a fantastic year for Sussex's Alfie Pyle, following his call up to the England Learning Disability (LD) squad in April this year.
Speaking on the final Alfie said: "We were all very excited going into the final, it was a great day, we played on a great pitch, although it was rock hard!
"The main thing is we a picked up a trophy and a medal and now I am looking forward to playing for England in November and playing against Australia in South Africa.
"I am also looking forward to getting back with the Super 1s which starts again soon, helping to run the programme and coach the other participants."
