After almost pulling off a one-day upset for the ages against Lancashire on Friday, Sussex Sharks are back in Royal London Cup action on Sunday when they welcome Durham to The 1st Central County Ground for their opening home match in the competition.
Championship & One-Day Head coach Ian Salisbury has named a 14-player squad for the fixture, adding the experience of Ollie Robinson and David Wiese to the youthful group that travelled to Sedbergh for the Lancashire clash. South African overseas player Wiese will be available for the remainder of the competition.
Jamie Atkins (right shoulder) and Mitch Claydon (right shoulder) are unavailable through injury. Jofra Archer continues a managed return from elbow surgery.
Ravi Bopara, George Garton, Chris Jordan, Tymal Mills, Phil Salt, Delray Rawlins and Luke Wright are all away with their respective teams in The Hundred.

Durham enjoyed a record-breaking start to this year’s Royal London Cup by beating Kent by 103 runs at Beckenham on Thursday. The Wearsiders made 405 for 4 batting first, their highest ever total in List A cricket. Openers Graham Clark and Alex Lees both scored centuries as they put on 241 together, before overseas players Cameron Bancroft and David Bedingham bludgeoned Durham to their massive total. In reply, Kent were restricted to 302 for 8, with Chris Rushworth finishing with excellent figures of 3 for 29 from 7 overs.
Having returned to his home county ahead of this season, Scott Borthwick is captaining Durham in this year’s competition. The county is missing five players to The Hundred: Brydon Carse, Matty Potts, Ben Raine, Ben Stokes and Mark Wood.
