In this week’s Winter Watch we recap on some stellar performances for Sussex players in an England shirt, and we look back on the opening India Australia Test where the returning Cheteshwar Pujara came up against new Sussex signing, Steve Smith. Plus, we preview the Pakistan Super League, featuring Tymal Mills and Shadab Khan, as well as even more wickets for Ollie Robinson.
Sussex trio feature for England U19s
It was another fantastic week for Sussex players representing England, with Archie Lenham, James Coles and Dan Ibrahim taking on Australia U19s in the second of three Youth ODI’s.
Although Australia ran out winners, James Coles made a superb half-century, hitting 54 from 72 balls. Dan Ibrahim delivered with the ball, taking 3-27 and there was also a wicket for Archie Lenham.
Pujara’s India come out on top in first Test
Cheteshwar Pujara came face-to-face in the first of a four match Test series between India and Australia last week, with Pujara’s India winning by an innings and 132 runs.
The pair will be sharing a dressing room this summer, following the news that Steve Smith will be playing three games for Sussex in May.
The next Test gets underway today at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.
How to follow Tymal Mills and Shadab Khan in this year’s PSL
As well as lining up for the Sussex Sharks this summer, Shadab Khan and Tymal Mills have joined forces this winter for Islamabad United in the T20 Pakistan Super League.
Khan's Islamabad United won their opening game of the tournament, beating the Karachi Kings by 4 wickets.

Ollie Robinson’s England return has gone from strength to strength, and once again he’s having a major impact on the Test side.
Robinson finished on 15 not-out in England's first innings, before taking 4-54 from his 19 overs to set up yet another exciting game of Test cricket for England fans.
At stumps on day 2, England lead New Zealand 98 runs with 8 wickets remaining.
