Washout dampens Sussex Sharks Vitality Blast opener against Hampshire

Persistent rain forced the abandonment of Sussex Sharks' opening Vitality Blast match against Hampshire at The Ageas Bowl on Friday.

After a delayed toss which finally took place at 19:55, the players were all set for a 20:15 start time, until the rain re-appeared, giving the umpires no choice but to abandon the opening match for both sides. 

Both teams will take a point from the washed out fixture before Hampshire visit The 1st Central County Ground on Wednesday night, in what was set to be the return El Clasicoast fixture!

Tickets for this match can still be purchased HERE and supporters are urged to purchase their tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment, with Friday's match against Surrey already sold out.
