Sussex’s fast/seam bowlers are returning to training as preparations for the delayed 2020 season gather pace.
Following the ECB’s confirmation that the professional men’s county cricket season can begin from August 1, Stuart Meaker, Aaron Thomason, Will Sheffield, George Garton and Mitchell Claydon will report for training at The 1st Central County Ground from Wednesday 1 July.
They will join Chris Jordan, Laurie Evans and Phil Salt, who have been training since the beginning of June following their inclusion in England's 55-man group for the upcoming international schedule.
The majority of the remaining Sussex squad members will return on July 8, with details on our white-ball contracted players set to be confirmed once the 18 First-Class counties agree on the formats to be played.
Sussex Cricket would like to remind supporters that The 1st Central County Ground remains closed to the public.
