After booking their place at the Vitality Blast Finals Day on Friday evening, Sussex’s attention turns once again to the Specsavers County Championship and the match against Middlesex at Lord’s that begins on Wednesday (11am start).
Sussex beat Derbyshire by 243 runs in their last outing and go into this week’s fixture having won four successive Championship matches in a season for the first time since 2010.
That maximum-points victory at The 1st Central County Ground narrowed the gap between leaders Warwickshire to four points and extended the side’s lead over third-placed Kent to 11 points.
Head coach, Jason Gillespie has named a 13-man squad for the trip to the Home of Cricket. Luke Wright returns to the squad, while Michael Burgess is omitted.
Delray Rawlins is included in the squad but is playing in the Sussex 2nd XI’s three-day friendly against MCC Young Cricketers at Richmond CC that started on Tuesday. He will make the trip across London to Lord’s if required.
Captain Ben Brown goes into the match as the fifth highest run-scorer in division two, with 646 runs from his 15 innings so far.
Ollie Robinson’s 40 Championship dismissals so far this season make him the fifth leading wicket taker in the division. The all-rounder requires 22 runs to reach 1,000 in his first-class career.
Opening batsman, Luke Wells is 26 runs away from 7,000 career first-class runs.

Opposition
Middlesex sit in fifth place in the table having won four, lost three and drawn two of their nine matches to date.
Having struggled with consistency earlier in the season, the North Londoners come into this week’s match after back-to-back wins against league leaders Warwickshire and Northamptonshire in their last two matches.
The new-ball pairing of James Harris and Tim Murtagh played a big part in those victories, as they have done all season for Middlesex taking 45 and 42 Championship wickets respectively. Murtagh is missing from tomorrow's squad - alongside Paul Stirling - due to international commitments with Ireland.
Steve Eskinazi is the team’s leading run-scorer with 413 from his twelve innings. Max Holden is not far behind with 400 runs from 15 innings.
Squad: Dawid Malan (captain), Martin Andersson, Ethan Bamber, Stephen Eskinazi, Steven Finn, James Fuller, Nick Gubbins, James Harris, Max Holden, Eoin Morgan, Ollie Rayner, Sam Robson, Robbie White (wicket-keeper)
