One of Sussex Cricket’s corporate partners, Sutton Winson, have teamed up with the Sussex Cricket Foundation to provide competitive and comprehensive insurance offers for their affiliated cricket clubs.
The 192 affiliated clubs across the County, have been offered the opportunity to utilise the services of Sutton Winson to help make possible costs savings at their clubs and provide them with comprehensive insurance cover.
As part of the partnership any affiliated club that joins Sutton Winson’s insurance scheme sees funds donated to the Sussex Cricket Foundation, which is reinvested back into the recreational game to support Foundation activity.
The initiative has been in place for the past two seasons and has seen 35 clubs join the scheme, with over £2,000 being donated to the Sussex Cricket Foundation.
Gary Wallis-Tayler, Community Cricket Director for the Sussex Cricket Foundation, said: “Supporting our clubs is extremely important and any help we can provide them with financially, is important given the current economic crisis.
"We are extremely grateful of the continued support from our friends at Sutton Winson and look forward to developing the partnership further in the future.”
Stuart Austen, Head of Scheme Sales at Sutton Winson, added: “We’re delighted to be continuing our partnership with Sussex Cricket Foundation and look forward to providing on-going support to their affiliated clubs - whether that be help with arranging insurances or giving back directly to insured clubs through our “grassroots initiatives”.
The insurance scheme continues to be available to affiliated clubs across the County. Any club that would like to find out more information, please contact Sutton Winson on 01444 251453, email sports@swib.co.uk.
