The Sussex Cricket Foundation is delighted to have been selected as one of the beneficiary charities of the Brighton & Hove Buses Santa Bus for 2026.
The much-loved festive tradition has raised more than £480,000 for local charities and organisations since it began in 2003, bringing festive cheer to communities while raising vital funds for local causes.
The Santa Bus was officially launched on Wednesday at the Royal Pavilion, where this year's 12 beneficiary charities were revealed. Representatives from Sussex Cricket were in attendance to mark the occasion, as Brighton & Hove Buses set its sights on surpassing the magical milestone of £500,000 raised through the initiative this year.
Funds raised through this year's Santa Bus will help the Sussex Cricket Foundation continue its work using cricket to make a difference in our communities across Sussex.
Gary Wallis-Tayler, Director of Sussex Cricket Foundation, said:
“We are thrilled and extremely grateful to be chosen as one of the charities involved in this year’s Santa Bus. The Santa Bus is an iconic event in the city and has helped support and raise money for a wide variety of charities over the years."
Being involved in this fantastic event will not only help raise important funds, but also increase awareness of the Sussex Cricket Foundation and the work we do to support communities locally and across the county.
The Sussex Cricket Foundation team will be getting into the festive spirit on Thursday 17 December, joining the Santa Bus on its Wish route to help raise funds along the way.
