Sadly, Sussex Sharks' T20 tour match against Sri Lanka scheduled to take place at The 1st Central County Ground on Sunday 20th June has been cancelled following discussions between the England & Wales Cricket Board and the boards of the international teams set to tour this summer.
Supporters who requested tickets for the match have been emailed to inform them of the cancellation, but will not need to take any further action as no money has been taken for the match.
Fans can still request tickets for Sussex Sharks' Vitality Blast matches at The 1st Central County Ground by visiting our ticketing page.
All of New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka’s men’s teams fixtures against first-class counties have been cancelled and the teams will instead play intra-squad matches to allow them suitable preparation for their international fixtures this summer.
The ECB and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have also agreed to postpone this summer's men's India A tour. The India Men’s team will instead tour with a larger squad to prepare for, and use during, the five-match LV= Insurance Test Series. India’s warm-up schedule will now comprise two intra-squad four-day matches, which will replace the two previously planned four-day fixtures between India Men and India A in July. Venues for those two intra-squad matches are to be confirmed.
These agreements were made to allow the ECB to focus on delivering the safest possible environment for all international cricket matches scheduled to take place over the summer.
