Ahead of the first fixture of the year, Head Coach Ian Salisbury said, “Everyone is looking forward to getting back out in the middle after a long winter. The ground is looking fantastic, Ben and his team have done an excellent job ahead of the season.
“The boys have trained hard throughout the winter and are eager to get going again.
“Gareth (Batty, Surrey Head Coach) is a good friend of mine and we’ve both agreed to use the friendly to prepare as best we can before the season gets underway shortly. It is the first time both teams have played this year, so there will be an element of flexibility within the game to ensure both sides get the most out of it.”
Play is schedule to start at 11:30 on day 1, and 11:00 on days 2 and 3.
Spectators are welcome to attend, entry is free of charge with Eaton Road gates opening one and a half hour hours before start of play on each day.
For all three days supporters will be situated in the Spen Cama pavilion. Various food and beverage options will be available to purchase within this location.
A reminder to all attendees that The 1st Central County Ground is now a cashless venue, therefore please ensure you prepare accordingly.
This match will not be live streamed as we continue to test the improved infrastructure ahead of the start of the County Championship season.
