With entry free of charge for the first day of the LV= Insurance County Championship match against Leicestershire tomorrow and a large crowd expected, we've pulled together all the information you need to plan your day at The 1st Central County Ground.
The game gets underway at 10:30am, with gates open from 9:30am for all spectators.
By car
Please note there is no parking available for international match days, we therefore advise that you arrive by public transport if possible.
There is a public car park, Norton Road Car Park (BN3 3BE), located a short walk West of The 1st Central County Ground opposite Hove Town Hall (charges apply between 8am and 8pm). Click here for more information.
By train
Hove Railway Station is a ten-minute walk from the ground. Leave the station and head South on Goldstone Villas, at the bottom of the road turn left onto Eaton Road. Cross over The Drive continuing along Eaton Road, The 1st Central County Ground will appear on your left hand side.
Brighton Railway Station is approximately a mile and a half from the Club. There are regular rail services from Brighton Station to Hove Station. There is also a taxi rank located just outside Brighton Station, together with a bus terminus (please see bus details below).
By bus
The Number 7 bus runs past the North (Cromwell Road) end of the ground with several stops near the ground. This service is the George Street, Hove to Brighton Marina service and serves both Hove and Brighton Rail Stations. This bus runs approximately every 10 minutes and around every 15 minutes on Sundays.
The 21 & 21A Brighton Marina to Goldstone Valley service stops outside the main entrance to the ground; these are less frequent but do run through the central Hove and Brighton areas. Click here for up-to-date information on these services and for a details route map.
Food and drink
A variety of food units will be on site to ensure you do not go hungry or thirsty during the action. Whether you're looking for a hot or cold snack, tea, coffee or maybe an alcoholic beverage, we've got you covered.
Don't forget, for County Championship games, you are permitted to bring your own food & beverages into the ground.
Adult spectators may bring alcoholic are permitted to bring up to four 500ml cans of beer/lager or a 75cl bottle of wine.
Free scorecards
As with all games at The 1st Central County Ground, free scorecards will be available to collect a variety of locations across the ground.
FamZone
If you're bringing the kids to the game, check out our FamZone, located next to the indoor school. Here kids can join in with net and cricket games, run by the Sussex Cricket Foundation.
Multi-faith and Changing Places rooms
For those spectators who require a room to practice their faith, or time spend some time in contemplation, the Multi-faith room is open to people from any background or religion. The space, which opened this summer is located adjacent to the indoor school at the Cromwell Road End of the ground, next to the outdoor nets.
We also have a dedicated Changing Places Room, available for anyone to use, regardless of your access needs, disability or if you rely on the assistance or carers or specialist equipment.
The Changing Places Room is located in front of the Indoor School on the Eaton Road side of the ground.
A cashless venue
We’d like to remind all spectators that The 1st Central County Ground is now a cashless venue. This means that only card or contactless payments will be accepted (including Apple Pay and Google Pay) throughout our venue. This will apply to all outlets at Hove, including food and beverage kiosks, ticketing, membership and our Club retail shop.

Out of respect to fellow supporters we would remind you that smoking and vaping is only permitted in the outer perimeter road and strictly not within the seating areas of the venue. Thank you for your cooperation.
Keep an eye out for Shaun the Sheep at The 1st Central County Ground! Our very own Shaun the Sheep will be in place outside reception for you to have your picture taken with.
Shaun is part of the Shaun-by-the-Sea Art Trail in Brighton & Hove and is one of 120 across the city for people to visit, helping to raise awareness for the Sussex Cricket Foundation and Martlets, a local hospice charity.

Tickets are free of charge for day 1 and can be claimed by clicking here. Members can present their membership cards on the gate for entry.
