The Sharks return home after a fantastic win against Surrey to take on Essex at The 1st Central County Ground and Head Coach Paul Farbrace has named a 15-player squad for the game.
Squad
Alsop, Bopara (c), Burgess, Carter, Clark, Coles, Crocombe, Currie, Garton, Haines, Hudson Prentice, Karvelas, Khan, Mills, Ward
Team news
Nathan McAndrew is still unavailable for selection following the collision with Shadab Khan during the Somerset match. Ali Orr is out with a knee injury sustained while playing Surrey on Sunday.
Farbrace’s thoughts
"We are really looking forward to playing at Hove on Thursday night, it was a great atmosphere last Friday, and a good game, but we just lacked that little bit of quality with the ball. The players more than made up for that at the Oval on Sunday and bowled really well.
"It would be great to keep that same high level of skill and competitive edge going into this game.
"Michael Burgess and Tom Alsop played beautifully to win the game, and a special mention to Ali Orr, who despite his knee injury batted very well to get us off to a good start. We will be without Ali for a little while, which is a great shame for him and the team. We are delighted to have Shadab back and available and hopefully, we will have Nathan McAndrew back playing soon as well."
