Sussex Women consolidated their position at the top of division two of the Royal London One-Day Championship with a six-wicket win away to Surrey on Sunday.
With three wins from three, Sussex are yet to drop a point in their bid for an immediate return to division one.
After losing the toss and being asked to field at Reed's School, Sussex once again got off to an excellent start.
Tara Norris removed Bryony Smith for one in the second over of the innings when the Surrey opener picked out Danni Wyatt at point.
The home side then lost batsmen at regular intervals with the Sussex bowlers sharing the wickets.
Paige Scholfied ended with three wickets, including that of England star Nat Sciver. There were two for Beth Harvey and Georgia Elwiss and one each for Norris, Wyatt and Freya Davies as Surrey were dismissed for 120 in 48.3 overs.
The chase got off to a poor start as Wyatt was caught off the first ball of the innings, but captain Georgia Adams and Sarah Taylor put on 66 for the second wicket to keep Sussex on track.
Adams’ dismissal for 25 was followed fairly quickly by that of Elwiss for one, but Taylor and Abi Freeborn took Sussex to within nine of their target.
After Freeborn was bowled for 21, it was left to Taylor and Scholfield (1*) to see their side home with more than 22 overs to spare.
Taylor finished unbeaten on 60, the England international's third fifty in as many games.
Sussex take maximum bonus points from the win to maintain their perfect record.
