The quarter-finals of our inaugural Wicket World Cup have been confirmed, after George Garton became the final bowler to secure his spot in the last eight on Monday.
Garton’s dismissal of Middlesex batsman Stephen Eskinazi joins three Ollie Robinson deliveries, a beauty from Chris Jordan against Durham and the hat-trick balls of both Tymal Mills and Jofra Archer in the next round.
The wickets, which were chosen by Sussex head coach, Jason Gillespie as his favourite since taking charge at the club, received over 13,000 video views and more than 1,200 votes over the last week.
Our quest to find the best wicket taken during ‘The Dizzy Years’ continues on Wednesday, with the first quarter-final seeing Ollie Robinson take on… Ollie Robinson! Voting will open at 10am on Twitter.
Sussex Cricket Foundation also want to see you recreating these incredible wickets! You can be playing on your own in the garden, or have a full slip cordon of family members set up in your living room - it doesn't matter.
Send your recreation videos to @SussexCricketFd with #WicketWorldCup and they will retweet the best!
