Sussex-based Littlehampton Clapham & Patching Cricket Club played host to the fifth and final One Day International where England Seniors took on Australia Seniors in the "Grey Ashes" series last week.
England had already secured the Ashes victory after winning the fourth match and went into the final game 3-1 up in the series, with Australia keen to end their tour on a high note and they did just that.
With conditions less than ideal for a game of cricket, thanks to the efforts of the groundstaff and local volunteers, the sides managed to squeeze in a 34-over match.
Australia batted first and made 229/4 thanks to a 72 from Peter Jenson and Bill Blair who made an unbeaten 56.
In response, England failed to chase down the 230 required, closing their innings on 199-9. Mel Hussain, brother of former England international Nasser, top-scored for the hosts with 40.
England won the series 3-2, with both teams enjoying a delicious tea in the pavilion.
The game was followed by a final gala dinner at the Ardington Hotel in Worthing as both teams came together to celebrate the tour.
