Kent Spitfires vs. Sussex Sharks abandoned

16 Aug 2019

Heavy rain in Canterbury saw Sussex Sharks' Vitality Blast clash against Kent Spitfires was abandoned without a ball bowled on Friday night.

The abandonment meant both sides had to settle for a point, with the Sharks remaining top of the south group - two points clear of Middlesex with a game in hand.

We would like to thank the Sussex fans who made the trip to Kent, and we look forward to welcoming you back to The 1st Central County Ground in the coming weeks.

Jason Gillespie's side are back in Specsavers County Championship action on Sunday, taking on Middlesex at Hove, before welcoming Essex Eagles to the south coast on Thursday 22 August.

Tickets to that Vitality Blast match, and our final home group match against Gloucestershire eight days later, are extremely limited, with supporters advised to purchase now to avoid disappointment.
