Sussex allrounder Delray Rawlins has been selected to captain Bermuda as they prepare to kick off their ICC T20 World Cup qualification campaign in Argentina.
The Bermuda Cricket Board yesterday announced the squad that will travel to Argentina for their ICC Americas T20 World Cup Sub-Regional Qualifier in February.
Delray will captain the side as they look to secure their spot in the next round of the qualifiers.
The qualifier forms part of the qualification process for the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Rawlins made his debut for the Bermuda Senior team at the age of 15, and has since gone on to play 17 T20I’s for his national team.
The 25-year-old allrounder played a vital role in the Sussex Sharks reaching the semi-finals of last year’s Royal London Cup, achieving List-A career-bests with both the bat and ball along the way and was rewarded with a contract extension in October 2022.
Congratulations, Del! #GOSBTS
