On Sunday the Sussex Cricket Foundation held its annual Volunteers Day at The 1st Central County Ground on day 1 of the County Championship match between Sussex and Leicestershire.
Over 1000 volunteers were invited to watch the cricket and come together to present the Cricket Collective Awards which recognise the efforts of those in the county who go the extra mile to provide opportunities for local people to participate in the game of cricket.
Winners of the awards were presented with their trophies by various members of the Sussex Cricket Foundation team, as well as Phil Smith & Anju Chauhan Trustee's of the Foundation.
Carl Tupper, Territory Manager for the Sussex Cricket Foundation said: "It was amazing to see so many of our clubs represented at Volunteers Day this year.
"Volunteers are so important to cricket and without those invited and nominated for Cricket Collective awards, involved in the running of the game, cricket would look very different in Sussex.
"Thank you to all volunteers across Sussex for all that you do for the game."
