Sussex Cricket was delighted to host the BEAT Healthy Heart event on Monday, welcoming over 1,000 people to the 1st Central County Ground.
In association with 'BEAT' and 'Pumping Marvellous', they aim to raise awareness of heart failure and help individuals identify and address potential heart issues early on. The event involved testing for heart failure, blood pressure checks, and other screenings. The events use the BEAT acronym (Breathlessness, Exhaustion, Ankle swelling, Time for a blood test) to highlight key symptoms of heart failure.
And Sussex Cricket was delighted to open its door to its local community, where these free checks were held by a series of volunteers on what was a special day for the club. It was truly wonderful to be associated with such an excellent and crucial cause.
