Last week, Sussex batter Ali Orr was voted Sussex Cricket Society’s Most Popular Player of the Year Award.
Ali Orr enjoyed a remarkable 2022, making over 1500 runs across all formats of the game last season, opening the batting in both the LV= Insurance County Championship and Royal London Cup competitions.
His form last Summer meant he picked up both the Men’s Young Player (U23) of the Year and Men’s Champagne Moment of the Year awards, voted for by Sussex Members and fans.
To add to those two fan-voted awards, Ali picked up the Sussex Cricket Society award last Wednesday at The 1st Central County Ground, when the Society came together for a special afternoon tea ahead of the new season getting underway.
Ali was presented the award by guest speaker and former England cricketer, Derek Pringle and Sussex Cricket Society President, David Bowden MBE.
