ECB SECONDARY SCHOOLS PROJECT

The Sussex Cricket Foundation run two girls secondary school projects, specifically for girls state schools only, allowing us to deliver more cricket to girls across Sussex. 

ECB Girls Secondary School Proof of Concept Project 

New to the 2022/2023 school year, through funding from the ECB we are looking to work with 30 secondary schools across Sussex to deliver girls only taster sessions during their curriculum PE lessons and some lunchtime clubs for years 7, 8 and 9. 

We will be working with some new schools where we have never delivered cricket to, to engage more girls at secondary school level than ever before to try cricket. We hope through this project we can get more girls giving cricket a try, get more girls into local cricket clubs or street projects and to get more state schools entering into our leagues and competitions through the winter and summer.
