Thank you for looking to become an affiliated club.

WHY SHOULD WE AFFILIATE?

Firstly, as a Sussex Cricket League club, it is a requirement to be affiliated to Sussex Cricket.
As part of your affiliation to the Sussex Cricket Foundation, one of our highly skilled club development territory managers will be your main point of contact.
If you would like to find out which area your club falls into, the attached map should you give a good indication of your Territory Manager.
Affiliating to Sussex Cricket reaps a whole host of benefits for your club and it’s members. A requirement to take part in the Sussex Cricket League, affiliation is a yearly subscription to Sussex Cricket, paid by the end of January each year, which entitles your club to:

  • Two Club Membership Passes for the 2020 Season for Specsavers County Championship & Royal London 50 Over Matches.

2020 Affiliation

It is time to complete your Sussex Cricket Foundation Affiliation for the 2020 season. Your club secretary will be sent a link unique to your club in a separate email which can be forwarded on to all club representatives.

The 2020 form is pre-populated with club details you provided on your 2019 affiliation so please update any information that has changed for next season.  The contact details provided will form the database Sussex Cricket Foundation and The 1st Central Sussex Cricket League use to contact your club throughout the year, so it is very important this information is correct. In particular please make sure you provide a League Rep email address as this is where the majority of league related correspondence will be sent. We would also like to stress the importance of providing the Name, Email and Mobile number of each team captain for your club.

The form has been broken down into five main tabs:

  1. Club Details

  2. Playing Details

  3. Junior Section

  4. Women and Girls Section

  5. Invoice – Please clearly state your club when paying by Bank Transfer

The Junior section and Women & Girls section are new for this year. We would like to make sure every club is aware of the competitions available within Sussex that their club can get involved in. All tournaments are open to all clubs regardless of location (i.e. if you are located in the North your club is not limited to those taking place in the North)

If your club would like to take part in any of the tournaments listed, please mark this by the number of teams you would like to enter. This will then generate a price on your invoice if it is chargeable league entry, no price will be generated for free tournaments.  You will not receive a separate entry form this year for Junior / Girls Cricket.

If you do not wish to commit to entering at this stage but would like to be kept informed of certain tournaments please mark as ‘interested’ and we will make sure the person listed as your ‘Main Junior Contact’ or ‘Girls Contact’ is kept informed.

Note: Clubs are welcome to enter a girls team into either the girls only competitions and/or the boys league age groups. If entering a boys league with a full girls team, you may enter a league up to 2 years below the actual age of the girls (excluding county girls)

Please see flyer attached about Young Leaders in Cricket – if you would like more information about this excellent programme for your young people, please detail this on the junior section of the form.

Costs for entry:

Non-League Cricket Clubs: £75

Sussex Cricket League clubs with One or Two Teams: £190

Sussex Cricket League clubs with Three or more Teams: £215

Junior Leagues - £20 per team per tournament to a maximum cost of £100

Women and Girls - £20 per team per tournament

Once the form is complete an invoice will be generated on the final tab. Bank details are listed to make payment. Please clearly state your Club when making a bank transfer.

If any contact details change once you have completed this form or throughout the 2020 season please notify Emma.Brooke@sussexcricket.co.uk as soon as possible so we always have the most up to date information for your club. You will also be able to access your club affiliation form throughout the year to make changes.

Please complete and return your affiliation form by Friday 31st January 2020.

Please note: There will be a price increase of £25 for clubs who affiliate on or after 1st February 2020. Also, failure to return your completed affiliation form by the end of January will mean your club won’t be able to enter any of the Junior competitions or apply for funding.

Gray-Nicolls Balls – All affiliated clubs will be entitled to a 15% discount on their ball order for the 2020 season. A portal link with discount code will be provided in the New Year. This applies to both league and non-league clubs.
