We are currently in our fifth year running the girls chance to shine secondary school programme, where we deliver a cricket and leadership programme to 13 schools across Sussex.
Each school selected for this programme will receive a 36 hour programme, which consists of the following:
On top of this we will provide 7 hours of Teacher Training to the schools, along with Indoor and Outdoor Chance to Compete One Day tournaments.
In Sussex we understand that going from a school to a club that plays hard ball cricket can be quite daunting to a girl, so we wanted to make that transition from a school setting to a club setting much easier, so with the pathway sessions we are providing hard ball tasters for girls, which is unique to any other county delivering chance to shine.
