Wickets for Georgia Adams in the Big Bash League
The Women’s Big Bash League got underway in Australia last week, with three Sussex Women players taking part in the tournament.
Georgia Adams, playing for the Adelaide Strikers, came up against Nicole Faltum’s Melbourne Stars with Adams’ strikers taking victory in their tournament opener.
After that 148-run victory, the Adelaide Strikers failed to make it two on the bounce, losing to the Melbourne Renegades by 81 runs. Georgia Adams picked up her first wicket of the tournament.
Georgia’s third game of the week saw her pick up another wicket in a 4-wicket victory over the Melbourne Stars, who they played for the second time in the group stage. Nicole Faltum made an unbeaten 15 for the Stars.
