Team news
Steven Finn is unavailable as he continues his rehabilitation programme for his knee injury.
Ollie Robinson continues to be managed as part of his Ashes preparation plan.
Our opponents
Like last week’s opponents Yorkshire, Gloucestershire were relegated last season from the top division of the County Championship and will prove another tough prospect as Sussex look to continue their unbeaten start to the campaign.
After three games Gloucestershire have had three draws, with their second game rained off without a ball being bowled against Yorkshire.
Last week Gloucestershire’s Tom Price had a match that he will never forget. After making 101 from just 98 balls to rescue their first innings, Price went one better with the ball when he took 4-58 including a sensational hat-trick.
Farbrace’s thoughts
"I am really looking forward to watching the team keep growing, having played some very good cricket in the first two games. However, we all know there is still plenty of work to do.
"We were disappointed with our second innings batting in the Yorkshire game and we had a very honest chat after the game about where we can improve.
"The great thing is we have chance to put things right and play against another good competitive side in Gloucestershire and we are all really looking forward to the challenge".
