Sussex Cricket will be joining the wider game in proudly celebrating Rainbow Laces alongside Stonewall from Friday 30th July to Sunday 1st August.
For the fourth year, Sussex will be supporting the campaign that celebrates LGBTQ+ inclusion in cricket.
Sussex Sharks players have been issued with Rainbow Laces to wear during their Royal London Cup matches against Kent Spitfires and Gloucestershire at The 1st Central County Ground on Friday and Sunday.
The stumps in both fixtures will also be adorned with rainbows and the Sussex Cricket social media channels will carry a special rainbow avatar during coverage of the games.
There will be similar activity across matches in the Royal London Cup and The Hundred during the long weekend.
Ahead of the game coming together for Rainbow Laces, ECB Chief Executive Officer, Tom Harrison said: "I'm proud to see our game standing squarely behind inclusion.
"We're driven by our desire to open up the game to as many people as possible. We want cricket to be a game for everyone and we want the LGBTQ+ community to both feel welcome and able to be themselves in our sport.
"The rainbow laces and the rainbow stumps are a powerful symbol of support, and it's good to see the players and the wider game reaffirming our desire to be a sport that everyone feels they can be involved in."
