Squad named for final County Championship game

Sussex have named a 13-man squad as we take on Glamorgan in our final LV= Insurance County Championship match at The 1st Central County Ground tomorrow.

Injury news

Henry Crocombe is unavailable for selection following the injury he suffered at Chester-le-Street last week.

Ari Karvelas (knee), Steven Finn (knee) and Archie Lenham (back) are all unavailable due to injuries.

Jofra Archer and Jamie Atkins continue to make progress with their individual rehabilitation programmes.

George Garton has returned from The Hundred but will be unavailable for selection due to Long Covid.

Kirtley's comments

“The team have had two very hard games of cricket recently, but I know the team will want to dust themselves down and get themselves ready for tomorrow.

“We are realistic, we have been outplayed in the last two matches, Durham bowled with fantastic discipline, something that our young bowling attack can learn from.

“Our opposition batsman have also absorbed pressure brilliantly well against us, something our boys can also learn from.

“More importantly, we spoke openly and honestly with each other up at Durham, particularly after the second day when we know we were below par, so I hope we can continue to talk at the level to ensure we can continue to progress.”
