Alexia Walker has named a squad of 12 for Sussex’s two Vitality Women’s County T20 matches against Kent and Surrey at the Sir Rod Aldridge Cricket Centre on Sunday.
There are two changes from the squad named ahead of last weekend’s defeats to Hampshire and Middlesex in the opening round of matches.
Linsey Smith has been called up by England ahead of their IT20 series against West Indies, while Cassidy McCarthy has been released to play club cricket. They are replaced by EPP off-spinner Hollie Young and seamer Ellen Burt.
Both Surrey and Kent come into the match with a win and a loss from their opening matches.
Ahead of the matches, Walker said: “We’re looking to bounce back from two narrow but disappointing defeats as we take on local rivals Kent and Surrey in our final home games of the season at Brighton Aldridge Community Academy.”
Sussex take on Kent at 10.30am and Surrey at 4.30pm. Kent play Surrey at 1.30pm. Entry is free.
