Squad announced for matches against Nottinghamshire and Wales

22 Jun 2019

Alexia Walker has named a squad of 12 for Sussex's two Vitality Women’s County T20 matches against Nottinghamshire and Wales at Collingham CC on Sunday.

There are two changes from the squad named ahead of last week's matches against Kent and Surrey in the second round of T20 fixtures.

Freya Kemp is named in Sussex's senior squad for the first time, while Cassidy McCarthy is also included.

Sussex will be without England trio Danni Wyatt, Linsey Smith and Sarah Taylor once more after they were in international action against West Indies at Northants on Friday night.

Walker's side are still hunting for their first win in this year's T20 competition following last week's double header at the Sir Rod Aldridge Cricket Centre.

The match against Kent was washed out due to rain, while the clash against Surrey saw Sussex lose by 57 runs with Georgia Elwiss top-scoring with 38 off 45 balls.
