Injury news
Ollie Robinson remains unavailable after having dental treatment following an infection last week but will return to training as soon as possible as he looks to increase his workload ahead of a return to the side.
Steve Finn continues a period of rest after suffering inflammation of his knee after the Derbyshire match.
Jack Carson, Jofra Archer, Fynn Hudson-Prentice, George Garton and Dan Ibrahim all remain sidelined as they continue their rehabilitation programmes.
Our opponents
Durham come into the match at Hove winless in their first three opening games but having picked up two draws along the way.
Most recently, they fell to defeat against division favourites Nottinghamshire at home last week, and similarly to Sussex, will be hungry to pick up that vital first win of the season.
Salisbury’s comments
“The games are coming thick and fast at the moment, so there’s no time for us to dwell on previous results, I am looking forward to the opportunity tomorrow and I am sure we will see an improved performance.
“I am happy with how everyone has responded, everyone is continuing to work hard and I am sure that will show against Durham.
“It would be easy for us to feel sorry for ourselves considering all of our injuries, but that isn’t the case. The team and coaching staff are all knuckling down and giving everything to keep improving.”
