Oxfordshire vs Sharks: Match preview

The Metro Bank One Day Cup gets underway next Friday and the Sharks begin preparations with a National Counties Showcase fixture against Oxfordshire on Sunday at Wormsley Estate. 

Sussex Sharks head coach Paul Farbrace has named a 13-player squad for the warm-up game, which includes Sussex Academy player, Henry Rogers.

Team news

Ali Orr and Steven Finn are close to returning to the squad following long-term knee injuries. Sean Hunt is unavailable due to a quad injury. George Garton has now joined up with the Southern Brave for The Hundred.

Cheteshwar Pujara will return to the squad for the One Day Cup after being away with the India Test team. 

Free entry to Sussex Sharks vs Buckinghamshire National Cup Showcase

The Sharks play two warm-up 50-over matches over the coming days, starting with a trip to Oxfordshire followed by a home game against Buckinghamshire on Tuesday 1st August, with the action getting underway at 11am.

Entry to the game is free of charge, with all spectators seated in the Pavilion. Members can use their membership cards on the day and non-members can register here in advance to secure a free ticket.
