Sussex Cricket is pleased to announce that seam-bowler Nantes Oosthuizen has signed a one-year Rookie contract extension.
After developing his game at Seaford College with Chris Adams, Oosthuizen signed his first Rookie contract for the Club in March 2025, before plying his trade in the Sussex 2nd XI.
He's already taken 9 wickets across all formats for the team, including when he took 3-31 from 6 overs this weekend against the Essex 2nd XI.
Speaking on his new deal, Nantes, said: "I am very grateful for the opportunity to extend my time here at Sussex and can't wait to keep learning and developing with everyone involved at the Club."
Sussex Director of Cricket, Paul Farbrace, added: “Nantes is developing nicely as a very promising seam bowler, he came highly recommended from Chris Adams, who had worked with Nantes at Seaford College, and you can see the grounding work that Chris and Seaford have put into Nantes has given him a big advantage.
"We are delighted with his progress this summer, having finished his education at Seaford first.
"I am really looking forward to seeing Nantes continue to develop his game and really make great progress, he certainly gives his all every day.”
