Laurie Evans top-scored for St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in their Caribbean Premier League defeat to Barbados Tridents at Basseterre on Wednesday.
With his side chasing 187 to win, Laurie gave them hope with a 41-ball innings of 64. Once he was caught in the 13th over, however, those hopes faded away. The Patriots eventually made 168 for 9 in their 20 overs, with number 11 Dominic Drakes’ 34 the team’s second highest score.
Laurie has enjoyed an excellent start to his CPL stint, with a 21-ball 40 in his first match to go with Wednesday’s effort.
The 31-year-old now has seven scores of at least 34 in his last eight T20 innings.
St Kitts & Nevis are next in action on Sunday against Guyana Amazon Warriors.
