Sussex duo Jofra Archer and Chris Jordan will be back on international duty later this winter after being selected for England's tour of South Africa.

England National Cricket Selectors have named a 16-strong squad for the three-match ODI series which starts on February 4 in Cape Town, and a 16-strong squad for the three-match IT20 series against the Proteas, starting February 12 in East London.

Like Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes and Mark Wood, Archer has been rested for the ODIs, but will return for the IT20S, while Jordan has been named in both squads.

England have named a strong squad for the three-match series, which sees the return of Moeen Ali, Jofra Archer, Jos Buttler, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes and Mark Wood.

Five players, who played in England’s 3-2 victory over New Zealand in November, miss out on selection – Tom Banton, Sam Billings, Lewis Gregory, Saqib Mahmood and James Vince.

Commenting on the selection of the squad, National Selector Ed Smith, said:

"These two squads were selected with an eye on the T20 World Cup in Australia in 2020.

“In the T20s, a number of players who were rested for the successful 3-2 victory in New Zealand return to the squad: Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer, Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali and Jason Roy.

“We want to expand the pool of players who can perform successfully for England, while also helping the team to peak for major tournaments."
