Ian Salisbury part two: "start every game by trying to win by an innings"

22 Mar 2021

Part two of our pre-season interview with Ian Salisbury sees Sussex's Championship head coach update on the whereabouts of all the players who have been abroad this winter and give details of when we can expect overseas player Travis Head to join up with the squad.

Ian reveals how he and James Kirtley are making sure the four-day and T20 sides will compliment each other this season and why that means you could see some unexpected faces in the Championship side.

Having discussed his and James' five-year plan in part one, Ian goes on to reveal his aims and ambitions for the season directly in front of him, including going into each game trying to win by an innings and making sure that every player in the squad improves.

There's also a message for those players that departed the club over the winter, including one who is likely to be in the opposition come Sussex's opening game of the season on 8th April, before Ian finishes by revealing how important his role has been to him after a tough period in his life.

Watch part one here.
