Back from her trip to India for the Women’s T20 Challenge, England superstar Danni Wyatt is in line for her first Sussex appearance of the season against Surrey at The Sir Rod Aldridge Cricket Centre on Sunday.
Danni is added to the group that pulled off a nerve-jangling one wicket win over Hampshire last weekend.
After two wins and a loss, Sussex sit in third place in division one of the Royal London Women’s One-Day Cup.
Head coach Alexia Walker will have three England internationals at her disposal on Sunday, with Wyatt joining Freya Davies and Linsey Smith in the match day squad.
Current England Academy player, Ella McCaughan is also available. The 16-year-old made 24 crucial runs at the top of the order during Sussex’s low-scoring thriller last weekend.
This Sunday’s opposition, Surrey, are in fifth with a win in their opening match against Yorkshire followed by defeats to second-placed Lancashire and early leaders Kent.
Play gets underway at 11am. Entry and parking is free.
