Junior cricket Coach 12- to 16-year-olds
Payment: negotiable per hour/mileage
Current hours 2 hours every Thursday but looking to improve/increase if demand increases
Nic Nolan helps on sessions to offer support to coach and juniors.
Selsey Cricket Club is a West Sussex-based Cricket Club which was founded in 1834. We currently run one league side which plays in Division 7 West in the Sussex Cricket League. We run ECB-programmed All Stars and Dynamos for 5- to 11-year-olds. We are keen to resurrect our Colt’s structure and above all offer cricket to 12 to 16-year-olds within the local community. We have just started taster sessions (so a broad-spectrum ability mix) and this is where the role of a junior cricket coach comes in. We would like to appoint an individual who is keen to coach this section, currently, it is every Thursday from 5 to 6 pm looking to go through to mid-August. These dates/hours can be changed to suit you as long as delivered in a structured manner.

Petworth Park Cricket Club - Head Coach
Location: Petworth, Sussex
Rate: Commensurate with experience, to be agreed.
Commencing: March 2025
About Us:
Petworth Park Cricket Club (PPCC) is a vibrant community cricket club with a thriving junior section and a competitive adult section competing in the Sussex Cricket League. PPCC is open to all and prides itself on providing a safe, friendly and welcoming environment. The Spirit of Cricket is enshrined in the Club Constitution and players in all sections are expected to buy into these values and play the game in the right way.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Head Coach to lead and develop our training programs, ensuring high-quality coaching for both junior and adult players whilst promoting the club ethos and values throughout the club.
Key Responsibilities:
Juniors Coaching:
Design and deliver a structured training program for junior players (ages 8-16)
Work closely with a team of volunteer coaches to implement and enhance the program.
Organise matches for junior teams and appoint match managers.
Organise and deliver an annual summer camp for junior cricket.
Organise and deliver winter indoor training from early January (sessions will begin indoors in January and transition to outdoor training during the spring/summer).
To occasionally attend meetings of the PPCC Cricket Working Group.
To be proactive in driving forward the development of the Club’s Junior Cricket offering, engaging and communication with parents and Club officials.
Adult Training:
Plan and lead structured training sessions for adult players, primarily on Tuesday evenings (6-8pm) during the summer.
Optional Coaching Opportunities:
Offer 1:1 coaching sessions for additional pay.
Utilise club facilities to expand coaching opportunities.
Requirements:
ECB Core coach/Level 2 qualification (minimum)
Valid DBS certificate
Safeguarding & First Aid certificates.
Proven coaching experience with both junior and adult players
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Professional but friendly demeanor
Clear communication skills
Passion for the game, learning, and teaching
Ability to engage and motivate players of all ages and skill levels
