Sussex Cricket is delighted to announce that Jofra Archer has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.
The seamer, who joined Sussex in 2016, has made 46 first class appearances since his debut, taking over 190 wickets.
The news follows the recent announcement of Archer being awarded a fresh two-year ECB Central Contract after another strong summer with the ball for England in which he featured across all three formats.
He will be available for Sussex around his international commitments throughout next summer.
Commenting on his contract extension, Archer said: “I'm delighted to extend my stay with Sussex. I have always felt at home at Sussex since making my First Class debut in 2016, and it was an easy decision to stay here for a further year."
Commenting on the extension, incoming Head Coach, Matt Walker, said: “We’re delighted to have extended Jofra’s contract for another year. He is a world-class fast bowler who brings something truly special to our club."
"Jofra [Archer] now has an extremely strong connection with Sussex, and we’re excited to continue supporting him and seeing what he can achieve in an England and Sussex shirt. Retaining a player of his calibre is hugely important to us as we look to build a successful team across all formats," Walker added.
