Waterlogged pitch forces abandonment of Middlesex pre-season friendly

27 Apr 2018

Today’s wet weather has forced the abandonment of Sussex Women’s pre-season friendly against Middlesex on Saturday (28th April).

The 50-over match was scheduled to take place at Mill Hill School, but a waterlogged pitch has made any play tomorrow impossible.

Sussex Women will start their Royal London Women’s One-Day Championship campaign on Sunday 6th May against Derbyshire at The Sir Rod Aldridge Cricket Centre at the Brighton Aldridge Community Academy.

Their second match in the tournament comes the day after (Monday 7th May), when Northamptonshire are the visitors to The Blackstone Academy Ground sponsored by Hurstpierpoint College.

Both matches are scheduled to start at 11am.
