New Zealand legend Suzie Bates will call The 1st Central County Ground home during The Hundred next summer.
The world’s number one T20 batter was announced as a Southern Brave player on Sunday night.
The 32-year-old joins Anya Shrubsole and Danni Wyatt on the Hove based team’s roster.
Suzie was one of eight players revealed for The Hundred’s women’s team during the men’s players draft.
Fellow Kiwi Sophie Devine will play for Birmingham Phoenix, England’s Tammy Beaumont for London Spirit, Australians Alyssa Healy, Meg Lanning and Sophie Molineux for Northern Superchargers, Welsh Fire and Trent Rockers respectively and South Africans Lizelle Lee and Dane van Niekerk for Manchester Originals and Oval Invincibles.
