Sussex under-15 girls prepare for County Championship semi-finals on Tuesday

20 Aug 2018

The Sussex under-15 girls take on Staffordshire in the ECB National County Championship semi-finals at Grantham CC tomorrow (Tuesday 21st August - 10.45am).

The side won the Division A (Group 3) league this summer after winning six of their ten matches, losing three and having one abandoned due to the weather.

A victory for the girls will book them a place in Wednesday's final against either Hampshire or Yorkshire. A win in that match would see Sussex crowned County Champions.

Sussex under-15 girls head coach, Ian Cox, said: "This is a great achievement from the girls. The way they have developed over the past 12 months has been a credit to their desire to improve and make progress in the game.

"Although we have had some outstanding individual performances, it’s the way everyone throughout the whole squad has contributed in some challenging match situations that’s most pleasing.”
