Sussex Sharks vs Somerset: Match preview

The Blast is back! Sussex Sharks take on Somerset tomorrow at The 1st Central County Ground in the first of seven home games in the South Group. Head coach Paul Farbrace has named a 15-player squad for the opener. The match is sponsored by EDF Energy.

Farbrace's thoughts

"I am really looking forward to the start of the competition, it will be great to have a full house here at Hove on Friday night, and for the players to play with real freedom and entertain.

"The second team matches have been excellent over the last couple of weeks to make sure we are clear on how we are playing, and those who have played in them have done really.

"Ravi and Tymal have led those games superbly and it has given the chance to see all the of the players out of the Championship team.

"The players playing championship cricket have also had this whole week to plan and prepare for the change of format."
