Sussex's Phil Salt and Rashid Khan put in standout performances to help Adelaide Strikers to a 71-run victory over Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League on Monday evening.
Salt smashed 51 off 31 balls, including four fours and four sixes, to get the Strikers off to a flying start batting first in their first match at the Adelaide Oval in this year's tournament.
Gosh that sounded pure.

The Scorchers made a fast start to their chase, reaching 36 without loss after three overs. The wheels soon came off, however, thanks in no small part to the introduction of Rashid to the attack.

The leg-spinner picked up the wickets of Colin Munro and Aaron Hardie in his three overs, which cost just 18 runs.
He also took a sharp catch at extra cover to dismiss Liam Livingstone and effectively end any realistic hopes the Scorchers had of victory.Super catch from Carey gets the tick of approval from @gilly381 👌🥊
