Sussex fell to an innings and 136 run defeat against Hampshire in their latest Second Eleven Championship match, which finished on Wednesday at the Spen Cama Memorial Ground.
Sussex were dismissed for 147 in their first innings with Will Beer’s 46 at the top of the order the top-score
Hampshire’s batsmen then piled on the runs, eventually declaring at 516-5. Stuart Whittingham and Delray Rawlins took two wickets each and there was one for Academy all-rounder, Harrison Ward.

After a three-day friendly against MCC Young Cricketers at Old Deer Park, Richmond starting on Tuesday 28th August, the seconds next home match is a three-day friendly against Leicestershire at the Blackstone Academy Ground sponsored by Hurstpierpoint College starting on Tuesday 11th September.
Please note that this fixture has replaced the friendly against Durham originally scheduled to start on Tuesday 4th September, which has now been cancelled.
