The Sussex men begin their first pre-season friendly on UK soil tomorrow (Monday) as they take on Hampshire in a two-day match at The Aegeas Bowl.
It will also be the side’s first red-ball action of 2018, having played three 50-over matches during the recently concluded tour to Cape Town.
New head coach, Jason Gillespie, will accompany the squad having arrived in Hove on Saturday.
He has named a 13-man squad for the fixture. It is planned that, whilst eleven will bat, all 13 will feature.
Play is scheduled to begin at 11am on both days with updates available on the Sussex Cricket twitter account.
Reports will be posted on the Sussex Cricket website following the close of each day’s play.
Hampshire will make the return visit to The 1st Central County Ground, Hove later in the week for another two-day match on Thursday and Friday.
Sussex then welcome Loughborough MCCU to Hove for a three-day encounter starting on Easter Sunday, before Surrey make the trip for a two-day match beginning on Monday 9th April.
